2013 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival Offers VIP Charity Ticket Auction

The sixth annual Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival promises to be a hot ticket this summer, and for those wanting a little more out of their Mayhem experience, there is the VIP option. Organizers have announced that the VIP Charity Ticket Auction will actually put fans onstage with their favorite bands.

Fans can bid on the opportunity to have the best seats in the house -- onstage -- as Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Mastodon and Amon Amarth rock out for those in attendance. Beginning May 16 and running for 10 days, fans can bid on eBay for the opportunity to receive two VIP passes to the festival, watching their favorite band onstage and also receiving Level 1 premium reserved seats or general admission pit tickets as part of the package.

The VIP experience also grants the winner a backstage guided tour, a one-of-a-kind Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival custom artwork drumhead autographed by all members of one of their favorite bands on the tour and a "Metal of Honor" commemorative laminate pass that allows them front-of-the-line access to all band signings.

All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Metal of Honor and Unite the United charitable foundations. The 2013 Mayhem Festival kicks off June 29 in San Bernardino, Calif. and runs through an Aug. 4 finale in Dallas. On top of the four aforementioned Main Stage acts, the festival also includes Machine Head, Job for a Cowboy, Butcher Babies, Battlecross, Huntress, Children of Bodom, Behemoth, Emmure, Born of Osiris, Motionless in White, Thrown Into Exile, City in the Sea and more.

The Mayhem Festival eBay ticket auctions begin this Thursday (May 16) at 8PM PT, CT and ET when 26 pairs of tickets and credentials go on the block. Fans can access the auction by visiting the RockstarMayhemFest.com website or by searching "Mayhem Charity" on eBay.
