Ever since 3 Doors Down rose to fame in the early 2000s, they've used that platform to help give back to those in need. The band launched their The Better Life Foundation, named after their debut disc and designed to raise funds for charitable pursuits. Part of this philanthropic side to the band has included the band's annual The Better Life Foundation concert, which is now coming up on its 12th edition.

The band has announced that they'll stage this year's concert at the Horseshoe Casino in Tunica, Miss. on Dec. 5. This year's concert will find 3 Doors Down as the headliners with support from country superstar Jamey Johnson.

The long-term mission of the foundation is to make a positive change in the lives of children in need of food, shelter, and medical assistance, and to enhance the lives of children and young adults with special needs. Funds raised are distributed to organizations and hospitals that fulfill the band's mission to enable children to develop their potential, achieve their goals, and become caring and responsible adults.

The band will also take part in the "Ride for a Cause" motorcycle ride that will take place on Dec. 5 at 11:30AM. The ride kicks off at the Southern Thunder Harley Davidson in Southaven, Miss. en route to the venue. A 2015 Citizen Soldier VIII ~ Harley-Davidson Custom Road Glide will be raffled off as part of the ride. There will also be a silent auction featuring memorabilia from both music acts and sports figures that will take place in the Horseshoe Tunica hotel lobby from 2PM to 4:45PM ahead of the concert.
