They say that in space no one can hear you scream. Thankfully that's not the case with The Devil Wears Prada's Space EP. And you can hear that for yourself with the release of the band's new "Alien" single.

The band, who just finished their run on the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival this summer, are building up to the Aug. 21 street date of their Space EP. And beginning today (Aug. 4), the song "Alien" will be available as an instant-grat download on iTunes with the pre-order of the Space EP.

Like the title suggests, the song tells the tale of an encounter with an extraterrestrial monster. It also falls into place the theme of the Space EP that explores different points of view within space and things that exist outside the Earth's province. Other featured tracks include "Supernova," "Planet A" and "Asteroids."

"We learned a lot from the Zombie EP," says vocalist Mike Hranica. "We wanted each song on the Space EP to have a specificity about it, to have its own identity separate from others, to have its own sound, but still have them all united in concept. We talked about a lot of different themes, but 'space' just felt right."
