Staind frontman Aaron Lewis is continuing his dedication to the It Takes a Community Foundation by announcing the details for the 6th Annual Aaron Lewis Invitation Charity Golf Tournament and his Aaron Lewis and Friends Benefit Concert.

The concert kicks off the weekend Aug. 4 at the Pines Theater at Look Park in Northampton, Mass., with the golf tournament scheduled for Aug. 5 at the Crumpin-Fox Golf Course in Bernardston, Mass. The concert will find Lewis joined by special guests Mike Mushok and Adam Gontier of Saint Asonia, Ben Kitterman and Corey Taylor. The addition of Mushok to the lineup should stir up some buzz as Staind have been on hiatus for a few years while Mushok pursues Saint Asonia and Lewis has been focused on his country-based solo career.

“It Takes a Community began when my family joined with neighbors in our small adopted home town to keep the doors of the community elementary school open after state funding was eliminated due to district consolation,” explains Aaron. “It started out as something very personal and close-to-home, but is morphing into something bigger. If we can make a difference in our little corner of Massachusetts, couldn’t we give additional worthy organizations in our area a similar leg up?”

Since 2012, the golf tourney and benefit concert have raised over $700,000 for the It Takes a Community foundation. All proceeds from both events will go to the organization and even if you're not able to attend, you can still help out by donating here.
