We’ve got encouraging news to report on Aerosmith legend Joe Perry’s health. According to Aerosmith bandmate Tom Hamilton, Perry seems to be doing better than first thought. In fact, he is even expected to rejoin his supergroup the Hollywood Vampires on the road "soon."

On July 9, Joe Perry was performing with Hollywood Vampires in Brooklyn. The guitarist slumped down onto the drum riser early on in the show, and collapsed after walking offstage. Reports indicated that Perry actually had suffered cardiac arrest and had to be revived by police at the scene, painting an incredibly frightening picture of the 65-year-old Perry's condition.

Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton offered an update on Joe Perry’s health via Twitter:

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, who has had a somewhat rocky relationship with Perry over the years, tweeted a heartwarming message about Joe:

Hollywood Vampires have assured fans that Perry is “stable and resting.” The group will continue its current tour, as mentioned by singer Alice Cooper in the tweet below. Perry is not back with the band yet, but the Hollywood Vampires' publicist says he will rejoin Hollywood Vampires soon. For the full list of dates, click here.
