What’s in Davey Havok‘s mind’s eye? We get a closer look in AFI‘s new video for “Snow Cats.” Get a look at the trippy new clip in the player above.

As you can see, a disembodied Havok head floats in space, singing the track, while the band occasionally appears in the midst of a floating illuminated triangle. It’s an interesting visual definitely drawing the eye of the viewer, brought to you by director Drew Kirsch.

Vocalist Davey Havok told Pitchfork, who premiered the video, in a statement, “Expanding endlessly from an empty room, the ‘Snow Cats’ video animates a cyclical struggle with the surreal colors of applied persona and identity.”

“Snow Cats” is featured on AFI’s upcoming disc, AFI (The Blood Album), which is due on Jan. 20. You can pre-order your copies via iTunes and Amazon. And be sure to look for AFI on tour at these locations.
