A new season of Adult Swim's Squidbillies is underway, which can only mean one thing -- more new versions of the show's popular theme song. The latest to tackle the brief track is none other than Against Me!'s Laura Jane Grace, who definitely gives the song a different feel than its original version.

Laura's voice turns the song into an anthem, almost embracing the crushing losses in life as a triumph to be celebrated. You can just envision fists pumped to the sky when Grace sings, "When God calls me into his kingdom / I'll take all you sons of bitches when I go." You can watch her actually recording the track below via Adult Swim's Facebook page.

Early, Rusty and the whole Squidbillies crew of mud squids returned to the Adult Swim lineup earlier this month, kicking off Season 11 on Oct. 15. The show airs Sundays at midnight on Adult Swim. The original theme song was taken from the Billy Joe Shaver track "Warrior Man," and you can revisit that version below and compare exactly what Grace did in putting their stamp on the song.

Grace joins a long line of musicians who have performed the song during the show's previous ten seasons, with Jackyl, Cannibal Corpse, Blackberry Smoke and many others from a variety of genres covering the 30-second opening theme. At present, Against Me! only have a couple of dates left on their current tour, playing Tampa, Fla., tonight (Oct. 26) and Gainesville, Fla., tomorrow (Oct. 27). Stay up to date on their touring here.
