As muscles ached and voices were hoarse, many fans returned and joined in on the festivities for day two of Amnesia Rockfest 2015. And rest assured, the lineup was bound to crush some eardrums and bones.

System of a Down headlined the Loto Quebec Main Stage with a performance that was out of this world. Fans completely lost their minds. Whether it was unrelenting tracks, “Deer Dance” or “Needles” to other notable tunes “Aerials,” “Chop Suey!” and “Toxicity,” the crowd yelled lyrics as loud as they could with as much force as System had on stage.

Just as the band is known for breaking barriers when it comes to heavy music, fans banded together to literally take down a gate separating the general admission and VIP areas. System of a Down also cranked out older favorites like “Suite-Pee,” “DDevil” and “Honey” for the diehards in the crowd. The explosive 27-song set ended a high note with the energetic “Sugar.”

Slayer took the stage just prior to System for an obliterating performance. For some reason it was “Raining Bugs” throughout their set as a swarm of insects flew directly into their stage lights and dropped dead as soon as the lights turned off. These Slayer bugs also made their appearance throughout their set and even landed on frontman Tom Araya who flicked them off of his arm. Bugs or no bugs, “South of Heaven,” “Raining Blood” and “Angel of Death” were just a few Slayer anthems that battered eardrums.

Other heavy acts that graced the main stage included Rob Zombie, who always knows how to party onstage, punk rockers of Rancid and hardcore act Hatebreed.

Over on the Jagermeister Stage, Tenacious D , Refused and the Melvins were just a few of the many acts that brought the house down. Fear Factory performed with bassist Tony Campos, who pulled double duty after rocking with Ministry a day prior.
