Very sad news has been made public by punk rock veterans Antiseen. Shortly after Antiseen celebrated their 30th year as a band, original guitarist Joe Young passed away at the age of 54.

For those unfamiliar with Antiseen, the band has an incredibly rich history. Along with craving their own path in the punk rock underground, Antiseen released the 1991 album 'Murder Junkies' with the infamous GG Allin and have collaborated with rock outlaw Hank Williams III.

Antiseen themselves have performed all over the world and boast a catalog of over 100 LPs, EPs, CDs and DVDs. The band's massive discography makes it difficult to know where to start, but we recommend grabbing the 'Screamin' Bloody Live' album for an ultra-aggressive Antiseen experience.

In a live setting, Antiseen are infamous for bringing a violent and bizarre live show for willing spectators. Influenced heavily by extreme professional wrestling, vocalist Jeff Clayton has been known to self-mutilate much like pro wrestlers "blade" to draw blood during matches.

In tribute to Joe Young, Antiseen posted a memorial via Facebook:

Today we lost my friend and partner of 30 years. Thank you for all the years of love and support that you all have given us. Please keep our brother Jeff Young in your thoughts and prayers. RIP Mighty Joe Young. I love you.

Rest in peace, Joe Young. Thank you for over 30 years of aggressive punk rock.
