In a close battle of metalcore titans, As I Lay Dying narrowly beat out Killswitch Engage to secure a third straight Death Match win. If As I Lay Dying can secure just one more victory, the band will gain their first induction into the Death Match Hall of Fame, a feat that the band has come incredibly close to in the past, but had the distinction snatched away from them at the last second.

German deathcore / metalcore act Heaven Shall Burn have been teasing their next album, 'Veto' (due April 30),with a couple of singles, but we've chosen 'Land of the Upright Ones' to represent the band. Although metalcore and deathcore are genres that have often been watered-down, Heaven Shall Burn harness a sound that's surprisingly fresh, and 'Land of the Upright Ones' portrays that sensibility perfectly.

Can As I Lay Dying secure their first induction into Loudwire's Death Match Hall of Fame? Or will Heaven Shall Burn set a blaze to As I Lay Dying's path to the sacred hall? Their fates, as always, remain in your hands. Cast your ballot now!

(This Death Match ends on Tuesday, April 2, at 10AM ET. Fans can vote once per hour! So come back and vote often to make sure your favorite song wins!)
