It’s a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tradition to have a jam session with inductees new and old at the end of the ceremony. This year was no different: After the Red Hot Chili Peppers' own three-song set late Saturday night, frontman Anthony Kiedis encouraged others to join them onstage.
Red Hot Chili Peppers were the very last act inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, late Saturday night -- and with the ceremony creeping close to the five-hour mark, many in attendance had already split.
The Beastie Boys’ Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction was appropriately raucous, although somewhat bittersweet: Although Ad-Rock (Adam Horovitz), Mike D (Michael Diamond) and their long-time DJ Mix Master Mike appeared at the ceremony, Adam Yauch (aka MCA) was unable to attend.
