On a chilly, snowy night, metalheads kicked off their week by trudging through slush as they made their way to Stage 48. Dark Tranquility headlined their North American 'Construct' tour which made its stop in New York City on Monday (Feb. 3). Support included Omnium Gatherum, Exmortus and Winter Nights.
Fans certainly got excited when Falling in Reverse and Escape the Fate announced the 'Bury the Hatchet' tour, and now that it has begun, the two acts are truly living up the the trek's name. There has been some animosity between the bands since vocalist Ronnie Radke was replaced by Craig Mabbitt in Escape the Fate while serving a prison sentence, but they set aside their differences and truly embraced each other during a sold-out show at Best Buy Theater in New York City on Thursday night (Jan 30.)
Within Temptation fans are highly anticipating the release the band’s brand new record ‘Hydra,’ which arrives in North America on Feb. 4. The disc features numerous guest vocalists including Soul Asylum’s Dave Pirner, rapper Xzibit, former Nightwish songstress Tarja Turunen and ex-Killswitch Engage singer Howard Jones, who offers vocals on the single ‘Dangerous.
Letlive singer Jason Butler is one of rock’s most impressive young frontmen. Known for being road warriors, Letlive have gained an even bigger cult following since the release of their latest album ‘The Blackest Beautiful.’ Their fans are die-hard and Butler’s energy will undoubtedly inspire future performers attending their shows.
Buffalo metal band Every Time I Die have been racking up the miles on the road, and during a recently stop at the St. Vitus bar in New York City, we had the chance to chat with frontman Keith Buckley. The singer talked about life on the road, his first time seeing tour mates Letlive live and also his admiration and obsession with Converge.
