Killswitch Engage vocalist Jesse Leach has had a busy year to say the least, most recently capped off with a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance ('In Due Time'). After he rejoined the band last year, Killswitch Engage have toured relentlessly behind their latest album, ‘Disarm the Descent.’
Australian fusion band Twelve Foot Ninja have won over North American fans on their first ever U.S. tour with Periphery this year. With their high energy and combination of hard rock, heavy metal fused with reggae and Latin undertones, their sound is something fresh for music fans. Their latest release, ‘Silent Machine,’ is anything but silent. Instead it is forceful and heavy while the melodies have an infectious groove and are sure to give your eardrums a quantum lift.
There’s no rest for the weary and that couldn’t be truer for the members of Halestorm. If they aren’t off winning Grammys or recording cover EPs, then they’re on the road. Lzzy Hale and the gang are meant to be headliners and they proved that with their stellar performance at New York City’s Terminal 5 over the holiday weekend.
In This Moment have had incredible success with their latest album ‘Blood,’ which has sold 200,000 copies in the United States alone since being released in August 2012. They're rounding out 2013 with their headlining Hellpop Tour and will start 2014 with another leg of the trek (go here for dates).
All That Remains continue to rock ear drums with their sixth studio album ‘A War You Cannot Win.’ Their latest single ‘What If I Was Nothing’ has been making a big impact on rock radio, and the band is wrapping up a tour with Asking Alexandria before embarking on a series of dates through Dec. 28.
Experimental metalers Periphery kicked off 2013 by opening up for Deftones and then went on to be a massive part of this year’s Summer Slaughter tour. They rounded out this year as headliners of their 'This Is Personal' tour and ended the trek at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City. Stellar support included Born of Osiris, Dead Letter Circus and Twelve Foot Ninja.
German metal outfit We Butter the Bread With Butter have just announced a headlining U.S. tour for 2014 (see dates below), but we caught up with them on their first run of U.S. dates earlier this year. The band has been around less than a decade but they have been pushing boundaries with their fusion of electronic and heavy sounds. The band has had a busy year touring in promotion of their new record ‘Goldkinder’ and even toured the states for the first time this year.
