Avenged Sevenfold want to film an epic video for their latest single 'Buried Alive' and they turned to fellow rocker Rob Zombie to direct the clip. However, Zombie had to turn down A7X, as the musician/filmmaker is busy in pre-production for his feature film 'The Lords of Salem.'

"We do want to do something super-special with 'Buried Alive'," singer M. Shadows told Pulse of the Radio. "We're looking for a good, like, video director — not necessarily a video guy but more of a movie guy. We talked to Rob Zombie, unfortunately he's doing his new movie right now or he'd want to do it. But we want to do something cool with it, something underground, exciting and kind of crazy … We feel it's probably the strongest track on the record."

'Buried Alive,' which was just released to radio, recently earned high praise here at Loudwire. Read our review and listen to the song here.

Meanwhile, as we reported, A7X recently announced dates for a headlining late fall 2011 arena tour with openers Asking Alexandria, Black Veil Brides and Hollywood Undead. Check out the full itinerary here.
