Avenged Sevenfold have just released part of a new track along with some in-studio footage of the band recording their latest album. However, the band has developed a challenging TV/radio puzzle which must be tuned properly to experience the entirety of the band's new offerings.

Avenged Sevenfold have been hard at work creating the follow-up to their 2010 full-length, 'Nightmare.' This upcoming A7X album will be their second disc since the passing of drummer James 'The Rev' Sullivan, who died in late 2009 from an overdose of pain medication. The Rev's drum arrangements were prevalent on 'Nightmare,' although they were performed by ex-Dream Theater percussionist Mike Portnoy during the recording process. The Rev also was featured as a singer on 'Nightmare,' providing vocal parts on the tracks 'Fiction' and 'Save Me.'

The band's current touring stickman Arin Ilejay is laying down drum tracks on the new album, which is expected this summer.

The hard rock act teased fans late last night (May 9) with the following message via their Facebook page:
