The lineup for the 2013 Heavy MTL festival has been revealed, with Avenged Sevenfold, Rob Zombie, Megadeth and Godsmack leading the way. This year's event is scheduled for August 10 and 11 at Montreal's Parc Jean-Drapeau and will feature two solid days of metal and hard rock acts.

In addition to the four main acts, the music weekend will feature sets by Danzig with Doyle from the Misfits, A Day to Remember, Children of Bodom, Mastodon, August Burns Red, At the Gates, Amon Amarth, Machine Head, Steel Panther, Gwar, Of Mice and Men, Finntroll, Baroness, Wintersun, Obey the Brave, the Acacia Strain, Halestorm, All Shall Perish, Cryptopsy, Augury, Unexpect, Oceano, Within the Ruins, Structures, Blackguard, Slaves on Dope and Havok.

Fans can also look for the Summer Slaughter tour coming to town a day prior to rock the Metropolis. On August 9, Dillinger Escape Plan, Animals as Leaders, Periphery, Norma Jean, Cattle Decapitation, Revocation, the Ocean and Aeon will play the Montreal venue as a warm-up for Heavy MTL weekend.

The Heavy MTL festival was previously paired with the Heavy T.O. event in Toronto, with the bills flip-flopping days. However, there will be no Heavy T.O. fest in 2013.
