The days are winding down before Donald Trump assumes the office of the presidency after current President Barack Obama concludes his second term, and after a rather polarizing election cycle, that has some Americans concerned. But Avenged Sevenfold's Zacky Vengeance feels so long as people stick together and do right by each other, all should be fine.

During an interview with The Irish Times, the guitarist was asked how the words "President Donald Trump" sat with him. He responded, "It’s a very scary phrase. Time will tell, but all I can hope for is that Americans and people across the entire world, aside from whoever is the president, do right by each other."

He continued, "At the end of the day, all my relationships here with people from all places of the world, only I can influence those today and tomorrow. It is really up to me. That guy [Trump] can do what he pleases, but as long as the majority of people stick together and try and be good people to each other, then I think all of that will be irrelevant."

Avenged Sevenfold ended 2016 on a high note with the release of their latest album The Stage. Look for the band hitting stages around the world in 2017 in support of the disc. They kick off the year in Europe. You can follow where Avenged will be playing at this location.
