Apparently, an Internet hoax was making the rounds on Wednesday (Dec. 3) stating that the almighty Axl Rose had died. While It didn't get very far into the mainstream consciousness, it did catch the attention of the Guns N' Roses frontman himself.

An article made up to look like an MSNBC story was circulated with the headline, "Sources: Guns N' Roses Frontman Axl Rose Found Dead in West Hollywood Home at Age 52." Thankfully, that isn't true, and the GN'R singer even had fun with the bogus news item.

In response to the hoax, Axl tweeted out, "If I'm dead, do I still have to pay taxes?" Check out his Tweet below:

In addition, Guns N' Roses official Facebook page shared a post from the ParadiseCity.com fan site's Facebook page, showing photos of Axl in a diner and discussing the death hoax in a comic-strip style:

So, there you have it. Axl Rose is alive and well. Remember, he's gonna need at least another 10 years on this Earth to put out a new Guns N' Roses album! Just kidding, Axl!
