Message From Sylvia spent a good portion of their run with "Heart of War" around the top of the Battle Royale Video Countdown. It was a long journey, but the band finally snagged the No. 1 spot during their final two weeks of eligibility and end up going out on top. Meanwhile, a brand new video, Edge of Paradise's "Mystery," is making its claim to be next in line for No. 1 by debuting at No. 2 in its first week on the Battle Royale.

After five big debuts last week, Edge of Paradise had the only new clip in the Top 10. However, it should be noted that after a brief slide, Chrysalis' "Out of My Hands" rebounded well, claiming the No. 3 spot this past week. See the Battle Royale top 10 hard rock and metal videos of the week below.

With Message From Sylvia retiring, it should be a competitive week as there will be a first time chart-topper this coming week. While there are several solid candidates already in the voting, we're adding new clips from Papa Roach ("Help"), Halestorm ("Dear Daughter"), Sum 41 ("Goddamn I'm Dead Again"), Rancid ("Ghost of a Chance"), Fozzy ("Judas"), Adrenaline Mob ("King of the Ring"), Memphis May Fire ("Wanting More"), Mutoid Man ("Kiss of Death") Blacktop Mojo ("Where the Wind Blows") and Kobra and the Lotus ("You Don't Know") into the fray. See those videos, along with every eligible clip, by clicking on the links in the poll at the bottom of this post. You can vote once per hour through the deadline for Friday, May 12 at 11AM ET, so make those votes count.
