Battle Royale: Operation: Mindcrime Give Way to QUOR on Video Countdown
The Geoff Tate-fronted Operation: Mindcrime have led the Battle Royale Video Countdown for three straight weeks with their “Re-Inventing the Future” clip, but a new band is challenging their countdown dominance this week. QUOR‘s new video for “Let’s Rise” outlasted Operation: Mindcrime after a week-long neck-and-neck battle. Meanwhile, Shinedown‘s “Cut the Cord” is holding strong at No. 3 this week.
Elsewhere on the countdown, Earthside, with an assist from guest vocalist Lajon Witherspoon of Sevendust, had the other big debut of the week as “Mob Mentality” debuted at No. 6. It should also be noted that Vajra‘s “Inside the Flame” placed No. 9 this week and as the longest tenured video on the countdown, it will enjoy one final week of voting before it’s retired. See all of this week’s Battle Royale top 10 videos below.
As for next week on Battle Royale, we have some big new videos entering the voting. Breaking Benjamin (“Angels Fall”), Slayer (“Repentless”), Ghost (“From the Pinnacle to the Pit”), Chris Cornell (“Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart”), Of Mice & Men (“Never Giving Up”) and Behemoth (“The Satanist”) are now part of the poll, as are clips from Battle Royale and Loudwire Music Festival alums The Chimpz (“Right to Left”) and Madame Mayhem (“Monster”). You can see those clips, along with every video available for voting, by clicking on the links in the poll at the bottom of this post. You can vote once per hour through the deadline of Friday, Sept. 25 at 11AM ET. So get to voting.
