Black Label Society have just announced the 2014 release of a new album! Led by guitar god Zakk Wylde, the metal band will unleash their ninth album, 'Catacombs of the Black Vatican,' on April 8.

Yesterday (Jan. 6), Black Label Society teased a "big announcement" on their official Facebook page. Zakk Wylde teased an April 2014 release for a new album while at the 2013 Bass Player Live! Concert & Awards Show, so it looks like plans for 'Catacombs of the Black Vatican' are going smoothly.

Black Label Society revealed a video teaser for the upcoming record, which features haunting scenes and a monologue from Zakk Wylde: "Face your fear. Accept your war. Destroy and conquer. Within the catacombs of the black vatican." The short clip also displays the words, "Strength,' "Determination," "Merciless" and "Forever."

As Black Label Society move forward, the band does so by saying goodbye to longtime guitarist Nick Catanese, who amicably parted ways with BLS in December. Shortly after, the band revealed Lizzy Borden shredder Dario Lorina as their new axe-slinger. “I’m excited to officially announce that I’ve joined Zakk Wylde in Black Label Society," says Lorina. "I’d like to extend a sincere and heartfelt gratitude to everyone for your continued support and warm welcome, It truly means the world.”

Get excited for 'Catacombs of the Black Vatican,' which will hit stores on April 8.
