The rocker sporting this hand tat says it’s a message that he’s reminded of every time he sees his hand that pain can be a gift. He’s explained it as, “Pain can be a gift, and it is to me. Anything that tries to bring you down, that hurts, use it as fuel, use it to make it a stronger person, use it to rise above, to persevere.”
Well, he’s definitely applied that personal ethos to his work throughout the band’s career. Next week they’ll release their fourth studio album, with the first single already making its way to the No. 1 spot on the active rock charts.
