2014’s concert schedule is starting to take shape with the dates for many of the biggest and most anticipated U.S. rock festivals being revealed. From April 26 through May 31, six rock festivals will invade the U.S., resulting in what could only be called the World’s Loudest Month.
Experimental metalers Periphery kicked off 2013 by opening up for Deftones and then went on to be a massive part of this year’s Summer Slaughter tour. They rounded out this year as headliners of their 'This Is Personal' tour and ended the trek at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City. Stellar support included Born of Osiris, Dead Letter Circus and Twelve Foot Ninja.
After releasing his solo album 'Proof of Life' earlier this month, Creed singer Scott Stapp has announced that he will hit the road in support of the disc beginning in March (dates below). In addition, the video for 'Slow Suicide,' the album's first single, has just been released (watch above).
As a member of the tragically infamous '27 Club,' guitar god Jimi Hendrix died much too young. However, during his short time in the spotlight, Hendrix cemented himself as perhaps the greatest guitar player of all time. To celebrate Hendrix's immortal influence, musicians such as Zakk Wylde, Buddy Guy, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and even Jimi Hendrix Experience / Band of Gypsys bassist Billy Cox will hit the road for the Experience Hendrix 2014 Tour.
For the first time since 2011, UK metalcore favorites Bring Me the Horizon will be headlining a North American tour. The band will be out in support of their critically acclaimed latest album 'Sempiternal,' and will be joined on 'The American Dream Tour' by Of Mice & Men. The trek begins in February of 2014 (check out an announcement video above).
3 Doors Down have amassed a rather large catalog over the last decade plus and not every song has earned a permanent spot in the set list during the band's tenure. But the group is planning to dig a little deeper into the catalog for their upcoming "3 Doors Down Acoustic -- Songs From the Basement' tour.
