Although the dirt and grit and bands were immensely entertaining on the side stages, fans who trekked out to this year’s Mayhem Festival were in for a treat over on the main stage. Production was complete with loads of smoke and pyro as the headliners Rob Zombie and Five Finger Death Punch both put on incredible shows.
The 2013 Mayhem Festival made a stop in Hartford, Conn., over the weekend where metal heads came together to celebrate all different sub-genres of heavy music. The Musicians Institute Stage had one of the most eclectic line-ups of the bill.
Connecticut got rocked this past weekend as one of the summer’s biggest metal tours made a stop in Hartford. Fans kicked up some serious dirt while moshing outside in the lot of the Comcast Theater and rocking to the numerous band that graced the Jagermeister Stage.
One of the most anticipated treks of the summer is the Warped Tour and this year’s lineup was eclectic to say the least. Both the bands and the fans headed to Nassau Coliseum this past weekend to enjoy the sweltering goodness that was the New York stop of the tour.
The experience known as the Gathering of the Juggalos is set to take place this year at Hog Rock in Cave-in-Rock, Ill. on Aug. 7-11. Branching out a bit, Soulfly (not to be confused with Blowfly who are also playing) and Sevendust are slated to perform for the face-painted crowd that unites every year to celebrate their favorite bands and the Juggalo lifestyle.
The Musicians Institute Stage at the 2013 Mayhem Festival kickoff in San Bernardino, Calif. was as scorching as the 100-plus degree heat all day long. Fans gathered around to catch a mixture of veteran bands and younger metal rockers, including Children of Bodom, Emmure, Born of Osiris, Motionless in White, Attika 7 and Thrown Into Exile.
