Almost a decade after founding guitarists Eric and Brian Hoffman left the band, Deicide are back with 'In the Minds of Evil,' their fourth album in the new era. Mainstays Glen Benton and Steve Asheim are rounded out by guitarists Jack Owen, who has been in the band since 2004, as well as on-and-off six-stringer Kevin Quirion, who makes his recording debut with the band.
Earlier this year, metalcore band For Today released the EP 'Prevailer.' Now the band has announced that their next studio album, 'Fight the Silence,' is set to be issued on Feb. 4. A Perfect Circle are scheduled to release their 'A Perfect Circle: Featuring Stone and Echo' box set on Nov. 26. Although the career-spanning box set won't be shipped out until next week, the audio of A Perfect Circle's 20-song live performance, dubbed 'Stone and Echo,' is available for streaming right now via Consequence of Sound.
Ozzy Osbourne has had some great guitarists in his solo band over the years, starting with Randy Rhoads. Following Rhoads' tragic death in a 1982 plane crash, Jake E. Lee took over and appeared on Ozzy's 1983 album 'Bark at the Moon' and 1986's 'The Ultimate Sin.' After that, Lee went on to form the band Badlands. Now, Lee is back with an all-new outfit.

It has been seven years since Tool last gave us their last album, ‘10,000 Days,' which fans are hoping is not an indicator of how long they will have to wait before another one hits the shelves. There have been sporadic updates from members and the band's website and now singer Maynard James Keenan has given an update on the progress from where he stands.
Over the weekend in Los Angeles, the Bass Player Live! Concert & Awards Show honored Black Sabbath‘s Geezer Butler. Several rockers teamed up to jam, and Butler joined in on the last couple of songs. Among the numerous luminaries in attendance was Black Label Society's Zakk Wylde. In a red carpet interview, Wylde revealed details about the next BLS studio album.
Back in April, power metal veterans Iced Earth revealed the title of their next studio album would be 'Plagues of Babylon.' Now, it is confirmed that it will be released Jan. 21 via Century Media Records. The band will also be touring with Sabaton and Revamp in support of the album beginning in April of next year (dates below).
