After what should be a huge year for Five Finger Death Punch, the band members will kick off 2014 by going on a cruise. But this is no ordinary vacation, as the group has signed on to headline the 2014 ShipRocked Cruise, where they will join Papa Roach, Three Days Grace, Device, Sevendust, In This Moment and more in rocking out for their fans on the high seas.
Burzum mastermind Varg Vikernes has been arrested in France for suspicion of planning a "massacre." Vikernes has been convicted of church arson and murder in the past, the latter of which kept him in prison for 15 years. According to various news sources, the French Ministry of the Interior deemed Vikernes "likely to prepare a large-scale act of terrorism."
One of the most anticipated treks of the summer is the Warped Tour and this year’s lineup was eclectic to say the least. Both the bands and the fans headed to Nassau Coliseum this past weekend to enjoy the sweltering goodness that was the New York stop of the tour.
While the metal world waits for a new Slipknot album, the band’s members are keeping particularly busy in various forms. Joey Jordison’s new band Scar the Martyr will be opening up for Danzig; Corey Taylor has been busy with Stone Sour and has a new book; and now Deadline has reported that Shawn “Clown” Crahan has sealed the deal on his feature film directing debut with the moview ‘Officer Downe.’
The outlaws in Five Finger Death Punch have just announced the Wrong Side of Heaven headlining tour that will span the course of nearly six weeks. With a summer already packed full of co-headlining dates with Rob Zombie in North America on the Mayhem Festival, the knuckle-sandwich metallers are earning their road warrior status.
The experience known as the Gathering of the Juggalos is set to take place this year at Hog Rock in Cave-in-Rock, Ill. on Aug. 7-11. Branching out a bit, Soulfly (not to be confused with Blowfly who are also playing) and Sevendust are slated to perform for the face-painted crowd that unites every year to celebrate their favorite bands and the Juggalo lifestyle.
