At the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, the surviving members of Nirvana put on a performance for the ages. Drummer Dave Grohl, bassist Krist Novoselic and guitarist Pat Smear pounded out a four-song set of Nirvana tunes with a rotation of female vocalists taking on each song. Joan Jett, Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon, St. Vincent and pop superstar Lorde all took part, and in a new blog post by Novoselic, the musician reminisces about the hallmark night.
Has it really been 20 years? Soundgarden's 1994 classic 'Superunknown' has reached the two-decade mark and to celebrate the occasion, they're offering a variety of new 20th Anniversary edition sets. The original four members of KISS are now officially Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees. Although the April 10 ceremony is in the past, Paul Stanley's criticism of the institution continues. This time, Stanley takes aim at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame co-founder and Rolling Stone editor Jann Wenner, whom Paul Stanley calls a "spineless weasel."
Following their powerful debut album, ‘Trampled Sun,’ Kyng are back with their sophomore disc ‘Burn the Serum.’ We had the chance to chat with frontman Eddie Veliz about the brand new disc, due out April 15 via Razor and Tie Records. Veliz talked about the creative process of ‘Burn the Serum,’ as well as some of his favorite tracks from the album. One year ago today (April 13), Deftones said goodbye to bassist Chi Cheng, who passed away after a 2008 car accident left him mostly in a coma for four and a half years. On the one year anniversary of his passing, frontman Chino Moreno has posted the unreleased song 'Smile' from Deftones' shelved album 'Eros.'
