Finland's own Children of Bodom have just announced the dates for their upcoming 2012 North American tour. The tour celebrates Bodom's 15th anniversary as a band, and featured opening acts Eluveitie, Revocation and Threat Signal.

Children of Bodom have been captivating audiences ever since the release of their 1997 debut, 'Something Wild.' Although frontman Alexi Laiho and drummer Jaska Raatikainen had been making music together since 1993 under the name Inearthed, 1997 was the official year that Children of Bodom was born. Bodom have become one of the most definitive bands in modern metal, introducing music lovers to symphonic death metal with their heavy-hitting yet catchy and accessible songs.

Children of Bodom's latest release, 'Relentless Reckless Forever,' hit as high as No. 42 on the Billboard chart and was their fourth consecutive No. 1 charting album in Finland. Bodom are also one of Finland's highest selling acts of all time, with every album attaining either gold or platinum status in their homeland.
