Chino Moreno has more than Deftones on his plate these days, and fans are now getting a chance to check out some music from his side group Palms. Moreno was recruited to sing on the album by three of the former members of Isis, who are also part of the group. Now the first song 'Patagonia,' from their self-titled effort has surfaced online.

The dreamy, atmospheric rocker is a mesmerizing piece of music with Moreno and crew using up all the space they can within the track. The vocalist slow-plays his delivery to perfection over the hypnotic backing. To hear the full version of 'Patagonia' streaming at Pitchfork, click here.

In other Palms news, the band has announced a four-date West Coast swing in July. All four shows are in California, with stops at Solana Beach's Belly-Up Tavern, Santa Ana's The Observatory, Los Angeles' Troubadour and San Francisco's Slims booked between July 10-13.

Palms' self-titled debut disc is due June 25 on CD and vinyl. You can currently pre-order the effort via Amazon here.
