Slipknot / Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor has proven to be a versatile musician in the past, but you may have never seen him quite like this. In a new clip, Corey Taylor sits down and picks up an acoustic guitar to perform a mellow cover of the Clash classic 'London Calling.'

Corey Taylor performed 'London Calling' for a five-part documentary on the Clash released by Google Play in conjunction with the new Clash box set 'Sound System.' The 'Audio Ammunition' documentary clocks in at an hour long and contains a mass of unseen footage of the band. The documentary even boasts newly-archived clips of the late Joe Strummer along with the punk band's surviving members talking about the writing and recording of the group's full discography.

Corey Taylor is just one musician who covered a Clash track for the project. Artists Thao & the Get Down Stay Down, Sufer Blood and Kurt Vile & the Violators also chose a Clash song to re-imagine.

For his personal rendition of 'London Calling,' Taylor stripped the track down to create a performance which could almost be categorized as a ballad. Even better, Corey Taylor's cover is available for free download for a limited time at Google Play.
