Corey Taylor, who has been balancing his time lately between Stone Sour and Dave Grohl's 'Sound City Players' shows, may have a chance to address both when he makes the trip to Austin, Texas, later this month for the South by Southwest Music Conference. Taylor has signed on to host one of the artist discussions during the music week.

The Stone Sour / Slipknot frontman will head up the session that's been comically titled 'What the Hell Was That?!: Corey Taylor and the Art of Making Mistakes.' The session will take place in Ballroom E of Artist Central in the Austin Convention Center at 2PM local time on Friday, March 15. The discussion is open to all patrons with music and platinum badges and artist wristbands.

In addition, Taylor will also drop by the South by Book Store to sign copies of his latest book, 'Seven Deadly Sins: Settling the Argument Between Born Bad and Damaged Goods.' The signing will take place just after his session from 3:15-3:35PM.

Though nothing is official as of yet, it would not be surprising to see Taylor joining SXSW's keynote speaker Dave Grohl for a 'Sound City Players' show. Several of Grohl's all-star lineup, including John Fogerty and Stevie Nicks, will be in town for their own South by Southwest activities. Plus, Grohl has alluded in interviews to staging something at South by Southwest, where the 'Sound City' film is also screening. In addition, the proximity would allow the opportunity for Taylor and Grohl to perform their current hit 'From Can to Can't' onstage.
