Over the weekend, Staind’s Aaron Lewis hosted his second annual ‘It Takes a Community’ two-night benefit concert in Northampton, Massachusetts. The shows were a call to arms to his brothers in rock to band together to help a worthy cause – reviving school systems and rural communities in the New England area.

The two-night event hosted a who’s who of country and rock, including sets from Tesla, Lo-Pro and Aaron Lewis performing on each night. One of the definite highlights was Slipknot / Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor toning it down for the kids.

Taylor’s set included a mesmerizing medley of Peter Gabriel’s ‘In Your Eyes’ and Stone Sour’s ‘Through Glass.' He also mixed in kid-friendly versions of Slipknot’s ‘Snuff’ and Stone Sour’s ‘Bother,’ while peppering his set with covers of Pink Floyd’s ‘Nobody Home’ and Tom Petty’s ‘You Got Lucky.’

As if that wasn’t enough, the highlight of the night came at the end of Taylor’s set when he busted into the theme song from ‘SpongeBob SquarePants.’  He was accompanied by a local children’s choir and it was so good they performed it twice.
