Corey Taylor recently stopped by the Loudwire studio to discuss his new book 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Heaven,' but he also took some time to discuss his bands Stone Sour and Slipknot.

Regarding Stone Sour, Taylor talked about the band's decision to release 'House of Gold & Bones' as two separate albums and how the gamble ultimately paid off. "There were a lot of people who thought it wasn't a good idea to begin with," reveals Taylor. "[But] the reaction was such that it ... showed us that we bet big and made the right decision."

As for Slipknot, without giving too much detail, Taylor told us that the band has plans to get together for a new album, with no specific timeline in place. Watch the video interview above for more on Slipknot and Stone Sour from Corey Taylor.
