Pennsylvania rockers Crobot have released a new video for their song ‘Legend of the Spaceborne Killers' (watch above).

The raw and gritty Kyle Thrash-directed video starts with the sounds of someone loading a tape into a VHS machine. It then shows the band members taking various methods of transportation to their rehearsal space. They take the stage and furiously rock out the bluesy and soulfully heavy track.

In our upcoming interview feature with Crobot frontman Brandon Yeagley, he reveals the inspiration for the track. “I always loved Godzilla and everything, just the pandemonium that goes with Godzilla and we're all sci-fi geeks," he explains. "It came out in a jam one time and it was like, that sounds pretty cool. We’ll roll with that.”

'Legends of the Spacebourne Killers’ appears on the band’s self-titled EP and will also appear on the band’s upcoming full-length album, ‘Something Supernatural,’ which will arrive Oct. 28 via Wind-up Records. The effort was produced by Machine, known for his work with Lamb of God. Check out the track list below.

Crobot kick off a four-date U.K. tour on Sept. 23 in Coventry, England. They’ll bring the funk back to the States staring Oct. 3 in Hagerstown, Md. Check out their tour dates here.
