Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor thrilled fans today (Jan. 13) by declaring that he will be dedicating 2012 to writing a new NIN album. “I think I have something to say that feels unique to who I am right now, and that’s when it tells me it’s time to do something,” said Reznor.

Sad news struck the metal community today as Riot founder Mark Reale was rushed to the hospital in critical condition from complications due to Crohn's disease. The band is planning to stick to their current tour dates, including the 70,000 Tons of Metal Cruise.
