Autograph seekers are commonplace for musicians, but it's the rare case that the equation gets flipped and the musicians become the autograph receivers. Such was the case when Foo Fighters recently came to play the Rock Werchter Festival in Belgium.

Studio Brussel organized a "reverse signing," providing a guitar that fans of the band could sign that would be presented to Dave Grohl. Video of the presentation can be seen above, and Grohl was so touched by the moment that he decided to use the guitar and play it for fans in attendance at the festival.

"So today, something happened to me that's never happened before," Grohl told the Rock Werchter crowd. "Usually, someone comes up to me and they're like, 'Will you sign my f--king guitar?' and I'm like, 'Okay,' and I sign their guitar. But you know what I got today? I got a f--king guitar signed by all the f--king Foo Fighters fans. Look at that! I got my own guitar, so I'm gonna play it." Grohl then fired into the opening licks of "Monkey Wrench" on the instrument.

The red guitar is a Gibson ES-335, which Grohl has stated was his favorite guitar. "No one has ever done that for me," said Grohl upon receiving the instrument. "This is amazing." See more video footage and photos from the signing here.
