The Technical Masters Division of our Greatest Metal Drummer tournament has been fierce to say the least, and in the semifinal round, two celebrated stickmen now battle for a spot in the finals.

Slayer / Philm percussionist Dave Lombardo is one of thrash metal's most proficient and powerful players, adding an enormous amount of muscle to every project he contributes to. Lombardo has already defeated Municipal Waste's Dave Witte, Morbid Angel / Terrorizer's Pete Sandoval and former Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy, but Lombardo now faces a competitor both rich in skill and popularity.

Slipknot's Joey Jordison is a shining star in modern metal, delivering a technical attack that makes him a standout player among his contemporaries. Jordison has claimed wins against Nile's George Kollias, Meshuggah's Tomas Haake and perhaps most impressively, Tool's Danny Carey. Joey Jordison now steps toe-to-toe with Dave Lombardo to compete for a spot in the finals.
