"We're gonna make it!" says the Twisted Sister song of the same name, but this wasn't the case for Jesse Snider (son of frontman Dee Snider) and his wife Patty who were en route to the hospital yesterday (Aug. 7) expecting a baby. After admittedly waiting "a little too long to leave," their daughter Parker Pryde was born on the 405 freeway in Los Angeles, Calif.

Parker Pryde is the fourth child for the couple and Jesse captured their post-birth excitement on video at a stoplight, which was then uploaded to his Instagram page (seen below). Prefacing the details, Jesse stated, "Alright this is amazing. I've tried to shoot this three times at all the traffic lights, but I keep screwing it up because I'm so adrenalized." Continuing, he said, "My wife just had the baby in the car on the way to the hospital. Parker Pryde, born we think at like 2:50-ish on the 405. We were a little surprised by it all," as Patty noted they didn't look at the time when she was born.

The proud grandfather, Dee Snider, tweeted his excitement from Europe (seen below), exclaiming "My 4th grandchild, a girl was just born...in the car on the way to the hospital! Welcome to the world Parker Snider! Way to get attention!" He followed it up with another tweet (also below), revealing Parker was born weighing 8 pounds and 10 ounces, indicating Patty delivered the baby herself while Jesse drove.

Earlier today, we reported that Twisted Sister will be releasing a new greatest hits compilationThe Best of the Atlantic Years. The set will also bring a previously unreleased cover of Steppenwolf's "Born to Be Wild."

Twisted Sister have been making the rounds in the festival circuit in Europe with their next appearance slater for Bloodstock Open Air on Friday (Aug. 12). The band will be performing their final northeastern tri-state area show at Rock Carnival in N.J. on Oct. 1. More information can be found at our 2016 Guide to Rock + Metal Festivals.
