Actor-comedian Denis Leary's new TV series Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll debuted this summer on FX, with the first season wrapping up later this month. We recently had the show's stars Denis Leary and Elizabeth Gillies stop by to talk about the comedy series.

The show focuses on Leary's character, Johnny Rock, a washed up '90s singer who is in desperate need of a career boost. When he finds out that he has a daughter Gigi, played by Elizabeth Gillies, that leads to a new musical endeavor involving his old bandmates.

In the show, Gigi wows the other characters with her amazing voice, which meant the actress portraying her had to have some impressive pipes. In the video interview above, you'll see Leary and Gillies discuss the audition process.

The first episode features a cameo from Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, who has some great one-liners during a 'Behind the Music' type montage. Leary also talks about Grohl's appearance in the video interview.

Check out our exclusive interview with Denis Leary and Elizabeth Gillies above, and tune in to catch Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll on Thursdays at 10PM on FX. Get more info on the show here.
