3rd Annual Loudwire Music Awards: Device Voted Best New Act

We rounded up 10 new bands for one of the most intriguing polls of this year's awards. Throughout the voting process, Device and Scar the Martyr traded leads, but in the end, Device secured a win.

Led by Disturbed singer David Draiman, Device are an industrial-influenced hard rock / heavy metal act which was given a lot of exposure in 2013. Device were featured on Megadeth's 2013 Gigantour and released a debut self-titled album, as well. That disc yielded the No. 1 hit single 'Vilify.' Fans of the band kept pushing for Device, leading to a hard-fought victory for the act.

Congrats to David Draiman and the other members of Device for winning the Best New Act of 2013 honor.
