Dillinger Escape Plan guitarist Ben Weinman may shred faster than a supercomputer, but the axeman crashed after going head-to-head with ‘Dimebag’ Darrell Abbott. The memory and legacy of Pantera‘s master shredder remains ironbound thanks to the rabid dedication of Pantera and Damageplan fanatics. Thus, Dime advances to Round 2.

It was an incredibly close match, but in the end, Korn‘s Brian ‘Head’ Welch beat out System of a Down’s Daron Malakian by a narrow margin. Having just reunited with his brothers in Korn, a mass of excitement is currently whirling around both Head and Korn, who are soon to release their 11th studio album. Head advances, but he’s got a massive challenge ahead of him in the form of Dimebag Darrell.
