When the 2011 Rockstar Mayhem Festival pulled into Dallas on Wednesday, Aug. 10, no one could guess the metal magic that would go down later that night.

Disturbed broke out into a raucous rendition of the Pantera anthem ‘Walk,’ joined onstage by members of Godsmack, Trivium and All Shall Perish. They all performed in front of a giant image of late Pantera guitarist ‘Dimebag’ Darrell Abbott before the legendary axe-man's hometown crowd. Fans commenting on the fan-filmed videos write that they “cried at the end” and “God Bless Dime!”

The cover of 'Walk' was a fitting tribute to one of metal’s most influential guitarists taken from the music community far too soon. Dimebag was gunned down in 2004 while playing a show with his band Damageplan in Columbus, Ohio. His spirit lives on and his influence continues to power some of today’s greatest rock guitarists.

The Rockstar Mayhem Festival wraps up this Sunday, Aug. 14, in West Palm Beach, Fla. Click here to read our reporter's review of the tour's New Jersey stop a few weeks ago.
