Emmure Bring Brutality to NYC Show With Help From Whitechapel, Unearth + More
The Brothers of Brutality tour wrapped up Feb. 11 with an explosive show at New York’s Irving Plaza featuring local residents Emmure along with Whitechapel, Unearth, Obey the Brave and The Plot In You.
The structure of Irving Plaza was heavily tested as fans bounced when Emmure took the stage. Frontman Frankie Palmeri’s energy onstage had concertgoers in the front jumping while fans in the back had a massive mosh pit going.
Emmure performed tracks such as ‘Solar Flare Homicide,’ ‘Sunday Bacon’ and ‘Demons With Ryu,’ just to name a few. They ended their vigorous set with ’10 Signs You Should Leave’ and ‘When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong.’
There wasn’t a steady body in the room when Whitechapel hit the stage. The band’s forceful set had fans shouting lyrics and the crowd’s vivacious spirit echoed throughout Irving Plaza. Not to mention the intense stares and vocals of frontman Phil Bozeman are also a sight to see.
Unearth definitely had one of the best sets of the entire night with their powerful performance. With a massive pit and nonstop energy one may have thought that they were the ones who were headlining. The perverted yet humorous antics of their guitarist Ken Susi also made their set that much better.
Candian metalers of Obey the Brave and Ohio band The Plot In You kicked off the night with lively performances that got the crowd’s blood pumping.
