Nebraska rockers Emphatic change gears from the uptempo dance rock grind found on their previous singles and get serious with 'Put Down the Drink,' the new single from their major label debut album 'Damage.' Check out our exclusive premiere of the lyric video below.

Emphatic paint a gut-wrenching picture of the toll alcoholism can take on a relationship with 'Put Down the Drink' -- a stylistic departure from their previous singles 'Get Paid' and 'Bounce.'

“People know when you're telling the truth; they connect with the song and with what you’re saying,” says guitarist and chief songwriter Justin McCain. “Our songs really are about the truth." The conviction of their lyrics come through on 'Put Down the Drink,' as singer Patrick Wilson howls the infectious chorus, "Baby, put down the drink / And baby, put down the bottle / You're startin' to sink /And when you're down on your knees / It's so hard to swallow."

Emphatic have tour dates throughout the spring and summer, including their performance at Rock on the Range in Columbus, Ohio, on May 19. Click here for their full list of dates.
