Introducing a new Loudwire original series: Epic Rock Tales! We’ve taken some of rock and metal’s greatest stories told exclusively to us by the artists themselves and transformed them into awesome animations!

During Loudwire’s lifespan, we’ve been told some unbelievable tales by legendary artists. Some of these stories have driven our YouTube channel’s most popular videos, so we wanted to give these unforgettable chunks of rock lore a visual element.

During our ‘Wikipedia: Fact or Fiction?’ segment with Slipknot / Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor, he told us about his long history with drugs. Starting at a very young age, Taylor overdosed twice by the age of 15. He hit rock bottom by attempting suicide at 18, but was found by his girlfriend’s mother and rushed to the hospital. Back at his grandmother’s home, he laid on the couch and watched Faith No More perform “Epic” at the 1990 MTV VMAs; a moment that changed his life.

This this initial trio of cartoons, we’re also featuring a story from KISS legend Ace Frehley. The guitarist has had many conquests during his years, but none quite like this sexual encounter he had in Mexico. We’ve also got a story from Lita Ford featuring the Prince of Darkness (and King of Metal Lore) Ozzy Osbourne. Ford had invited Ozzy over to her home for Easter dinner and what unfolded includes a bottle of wine and an electric carving knife.

Check out the debut of Epic Rock Tales above and be sure to check back Mondays at noon ET for new episodes!
