Following up the recent release of their new disc 'Requiem for the Indifferent,' Dutch symphonic metal outfit Epica have announced a run of North American tour dates, kicking off in the fall.

Getting things started at the end of October in Washington, D.C., the tour will also feature several support acts Alestorm, Insomnium, System Divide and Destiny Potato, rounding out a massive night of metal.

Epica singer Simone Simons recently commented on the tour and her thoughts on getting the new music out there to fans, saying, "It is so exciting!  I love the new songs and can't wait to play them live."

New bassist Robert van der Loo, who was recently forced to sit out the band's current European tour, will make his live debut with the band on the North American trek.
