Epica Release ‘Requiem For The Indifferent’ Teaser

Nuclear Assault

In anticipation for the March 9 release of their latest studio album, ‘Requiem for the Indifferent,’ Epica have kicked off a multi-part video series, teasing the upcoming release.

The symphonic metal band checked in on the origin of the video series and the concept behind their layered approach:

“Here we are with the first official teaser. This time however we’re doing it like no one has done before, by weekly releasing an extra layer of music, giving our fans a little more insight in the complexity and the different aspects of Epica’s music. As this is the first video in the series, you’ll only hear Arien’s drums. However, the next seven weeks we will add layer by layer, and make the sample longer and longer. Through these videos we will also weekly release backstage pictures, pieces of the album artwork, tour updates, etc, to make the wait for the album just a little bit more bearable!”

Back in December the band unveiled the track listing and cover art for ‘Requiem for the Indifferent,’ check it out here.

They’ve also been road testing a few new songs. They recently performed the new track ‘Storm the Sorrow’ during a Jan. 12 show in the Netherlands. Watch a live video of the performance here.

Check out the first video from their multi-part series below and stay tuned for the rest of the series.
