Evanescence frontwoman and Revolver Magazine’s “Hottest Chick in Hard Rock” also has a good head on her shoulders. In a video interview with Artistdirect.com, Amy Lee articulates the meaning behind Evanescence's first single, ‘What You Want,’ off of their new, self-titled album.

Lee states, “What it really means is, 'I’m all the chaos and all the things you can’t control in your life, but don’t be afraid of it, because that’s how it’s always going to be." She goes on to say, "You can’t be too afraid to go live and take what you want out of life.”

Lee continues with more insight into the single’s message by saying, “You can’t control all the crazy stuff that happens to you. All you can control is the way you handle it.”

Brains, Beauty and some serious vocal chords. What more can we ask for?
