Today (March 20) we celebrate the 36th birthday of Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington, who has established himself as one of modern hard rock's best vocalists.
Linkin Park rose to superstardom in 2000 with the release of 'Hybrid Theory.' Led by the dual vocal attack of Bennington and rhyme-slinger Mike Shinoda, the album sold 10 million copies in the U.S. alone, attaining diamond status and making it the best-selling album of the decade.
Linkin Park went on to release three consecutive albums that reached No. 1 on the Billboard chart. Their 2003 album 'Meteora' has sold 11 million copies worldwide, 2007's 'Minutes to Midnight' went multiplatinum and the 2010 release 'A Thousand Suns' hit gold and platinum status in seven countries.
