We wish a very Happy Birthday to everyone's favorite top-hatted guitarist, Slash. (Sorry, Mick Mars, we love you too!) Slash has been actively playing in rock bands since 1981, and today, the six-stringer hits 47 years of age.

After jamming with local bands Tidus Sloan, Road Crew and Black Sheep as well as auditioning for Poison at one point, Slash joined Hollywood Rose, which featured singer Axl Rose and guitarist Izzy Stradlin. Having previously jammed with Duff McKagan, the musicians joined forces to create Guns N' Roses.

In 1987, GN'R released one of the most successful debut albums in rock history with 'Appetite for Destruction.' The record has since sold over 28 million copies worldwide, and turned Slash into an instant icon in rock music. Slash played his final show with GN'R in 1993 and officially left the band in 1996.

After forming the short-lived Slash's Snakepit, the guitarist helped create Velvet Revolver with Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland and former GN'R bandmates Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum. Slash has also built a successful solo career with Alter Bridge vocalist Myles Kennedy and backing band, the Conspirators.

To celebrate Slash's birthday, we want to know which song is your favorite out of the various ones below. Yeah, we know the list is missing a lot of great songs, but try your best to cast your vote.
